Life Cycle
Jewish life is enriched by the rituals attached to the milestones – birth, bar/bat mitzvah, wedding, anniversary, end-of-life – that punctuate our lives. The beauty and sanctity of Jewish ritual binds us to generations of Jews who have come before us and to the continuity of our people. Every life cycle event, both the light and the dark, can and should be infused with meaning and relevance.
Chabad of South Austin is here to share your greatest joys and to provide comfort in life’s most difficult times. Please connect with us for facilitation of any life cycle events. Understanding the sensitivity of many life cycle events, we are happy to guide you through the meaningful process.
Baby Naming
Celebrate the arrival of a newborn with a beautiful and meaningful ceremony, welcoming them into the covenant and bestowing a Hebrew name. We can arrange a baby naming and blessing ceremony for the birth of a girl at your home or another space.
We’ll assist you in creating a special and personalized event, ensuring cherished memories for your growing family.
Brit Milah
We are here to offer guidance and support in arranging a Brit Milah (ritual circumcision). We can assist you with the ceremony and all related arrangements, connect you with a certified Mohel in Texas or elsewhere in the United States.
The Brit Milah can take place at home, in a synagogue, or at a venue of your choice. If you have any questions or would like to begin planning, please feel free to reach out.
Bar/Bat Mitzvah
We take great pride in preparing Bar and Bat Mitzvah boys and girls for their momentous day. Our goal is to ensure that each young individual begins this new chapter with knowledge, confidence, and a meaningful connection to their Jewish roots.
Upon completion of their studies, we hold the ceremony on or around their birthday, joined by family, friends, and community. Together, we celebrate this significant milestone and empower them as they continue their Jewish journey.
